Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan

If you like action books, I might have the book for you. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan is full of action. The main charters (Percy and Tyson Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Grover Underwood, and Luke) travel all over the United States of America and in the Bermuda Triangle. They live and train at Camp Half Blood on the East Coast (Long Island) of New York. This book is so exciting because it has a lot of action and the author did a good job entertaining me. The author (Rick Riordan) has three book series (Percy Jackson & the Olympians, The Heroes of Olympus, and The Kane Chronicles). They made movies for the first two books. I would recommend this book because it has a lot of action and if you like action books, this book is perfect.

Have you ever wanted an adventure fantasy book?  If you have, The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan is a great book for you!  In The Sea of Monsters, the demi-gods Percy Jackson, Annabeth and Tyson find out that Thalia’s tree has been poisoned and they need to find a way to heal it. They have adventures on the Sea of Monsters and in camp Half-Blood.  This book is very funny and exciting.  I think the author’s message is to never give up.  I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend this book to people who love adventurous, fantasy books!  How do you think they will save Thalia’s tree?

The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan

Do you like fantasy, mythology books?  Do you like Greek gods?  If so The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan is the book for you.  Percy Jackson is on a journey.  There is a battle against the Titans.  Percy and a group of young Demigods have to stop the Titans, led by Kronos, from taking over New York City and Mount Olympus. The setting of this story is Camp Half- Blood, a camp for young Demigods.  Then it goes into New York City.  Kronos wants to take over New York City and Percy tries to stop him.  Read to find out who wins the battle. There are 4 other Percy Jackson books in the series.  I would recommend this book for kids in 5th and 6th grade.

The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan

The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan is about 3 kids, Jason, Leo, and Piper, who meet over 250 different kinds of Mythical Creatures and Gods. One of my favorite gods is Zeus, the king of gods and lighting. In this story Zeus has to help Jason, Leo and Piper by banishing a mythological god named Aurora, the god of rain, who is their enemy.

The Lost Hero is a great book! If you are into Gods and Greek Mythology, this is the perfect book for you. With over 250 different kinds of creatures and mythical gods and 456 pages of adventure, this is a book of greatness!! This book reminds me of when Mythical gods were real and when people believed in Mythical Gods and Creatures.

In The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan, three friends named Jason, Leo, and Piper are three half-bloods.  They don’t know they’re descended from gods until they battle a storm spirit on the Grand Canyon sky bridge. The main problem is Percy Jackson is missing.  Then Jason appears out of nowhere on a bus trip to the Grand Canyon with a bus full of troubled teenagers.  If you want to read more you would need to get this book at the public library.

Do you like fantasy?  Do you like books that will leave you at the edge of your seat?  Well, The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan is a perfect book for that.  The main characters are Jason (leader), his friend Piper and Leo Valdez.  These people have mothers and fathers as gods.  Piper McClean’s father is a movie star but her mother is the goddess of love, Aphrodite.  Leo’s father is Hephaestus, the god of machines and tools.  Jason’s father is Zeus, the god of lighting.  I absolutely 100% guarantee you will not put this book down.  The evil earth mother, called Gaea is trying to take over the world, while seven demigods come on a daring adventure to stop Gaea from awakening.  Read this and make sure you enjoy this masterpiece.

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

Maybe by now you've all seen the movie,  but have you read the book?  How do you think the book and the movie compared?  And the best question is, how would you feel if you found out you were a descendant of the gods of Olympus?  Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed this book about a young boy on a quest across the United States.  I loved the mixture of fantasy and adventure, as Percy fought off fantastical creatures and learned about himself in the process.  The movie had a hard time competing with the images I created in my own mind as I read, but I still liked it too. Now I want to hear what you think!

Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan is a great book if you like action packed books. It's all about a group of kids that have one parent that is a god, and they fight all sorts of monsters.  But the problem in the story is that one of Percy's friends turns on him. So Percy and his friends have to try and defeat him and his army in battle.

I thought that this was a good book because when Percy Jackson goes to camp with his friends, it reminded me of when I go camping with my friends. We also get in trouble like Percy and his friends. I think this is a great book, and I recommend this book for grades 3-6.
