Emmitt Smith: NFL Super Runner by Bill Gutman

Emmitt Smith: NFL Super Runner by Bill Gutman tells about Emmitt Smith who was a one of a kind hall of fame running back. He played for the Dallas Cowboys in 1990. In 2003 he played for the Arizona Cardinals. During his whole career he rushed for 18355 and set the record for the most rushing yards in a superbowl three times. Emmitt Smith was born in 1969 and is currently 52 years old. He ran 4.55 40. Emmitt Smith was only 5’9” and 220lb. He is an iconic piece of football history.

Something I like about this book is the wide selection of facts about Emmit Smith. Also It gives key information about Emmit Smith during his career. I like to read about football because I play football and like to watch it too.

Tom Brady by Jeff Savage

Tom Brady grew up in San Mateo, California.  When he was young his childhood idol was Joe Montana. In the book Tom Brady by Jeff Savage, you can find out funny things about Tom, like how when Tom was young he was a sore loser and it got to the point where people didn't want to play with him. It also goes through some of his superbowls and his life off the field.

I loved this book because I live in Rhode Island which is in the New England area, thus meaning I'm a Patriots fan! It was nice reading about our hall of fame QB after Super Bowl LI and the forever known comeback. I also enjoyed learning about some of the Super Bowls I didn't watch.

Comeback Kids: Two Minute Drill by Mike Lupica

Comeback Kids: Two Minute Drill was written by Mike Lupica.  He also wrote Heat. The book is about Chris Conlan and his football team. They are underdogs and they are working toward a championship. I will not tell you the end of the Comeback Kids.  One time my team was an underdog in baseball, and we won a championship game.

Deep Zone by Tim Green

Tim Green, author of many sport books, published Deep Zone. I think this is a great book.  Not only because it’s a sports book, but it’s got other interesting parts in it.  It starts in New Jersey, but Ty won his state championship and had to go to Florida for the national championship.  Will Ty have any problems, or will it all go smoothly for him?  Will he survive?  You will find out if he survives if you read the book Deep Zone.

If you like football books, then Deep Zone by Tim Green is the book for you!  The main characters are Ty and Thane Lewis.  Ty is the brother of an NFL superstar, Thane Lewis.  Thane is an All-American wide receiver for the New York Jets.  But, behind the scenes Ty and Thane’s Uncle has been working with criminals and has exploited them.  Now they are after Ty and His Uncle.  Then… disaster strikes, going up for a catch Thane comes down hard and he tears his ACL and MCL in his knee.  Now with Thane in the hospital there is no one to protect Ty.  What will happen?  Will Ty survive?  Will Thane ever play football again?  Read the book to find out.  I truly recommend this book.

Through My Eyes by Tim Tebow and Nathan Whitaker

Through My Eyes by Tim Tebow and Nathan Whitaker is an autobiography about Tim Tebow.  He grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and became a Hisemen Trophy winner on the Florida Gators team.  Then went to the Denver Bronco’s in the NFL and became a star.  This book gives lots of info on how his life went from nothing to something.  I connect this book to how I play football and how I never give up, like he didn’t.  I highly recommend this book to people that like football.  You will find this in the school library.

Football Hero by Tim Green

Football Hero by Tim Green is a good book.  It’s about a boy named Ty who lives with his uncle and aunt.  He wants to join the football team on his birthday so he can be like his bro because his brother is so famous. During a game something happens that is good. You have to read the rest to find out.  I connected to this book because I play football and learned about the mafia in school this year.  This is a book you'll have to look for in the public library.
