Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Happy Birthday by Rachel Renee Russell

Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Happy Birthday by Rachel Renee Russell. This book is about these 3 girls, Zoey, Chloe and Nikki. Nikki  is the main character. Nikki is going to have a luau party but there is a problem. The party is going to be canceled because her mom is ruining her party and she is very stressed. Later in the story Chloe has the invitations she made for the party and while she is gone the invitations are gone.

My favorite character is Nikki's little sister Brianna. She is very funny and adorable and I love how she tries to make things for her sister. I can relate to this story because once I had a birthday party.

Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Dorky Drama Queen by Rachel Renee Russel

Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Dorky Drama Queen by Rachel Renee Russel is a great book!!  Why, do you ask? Well Dork Diaries is a teen event book and it has events that you might have experienced or made connections with before. It would make a fantastic movie in my opinion. but if you go on the author’s page they have a podcast.

You might have a connection with this book that you might have experienced too because the girl in this book Nikki, is being bullied by this girl Mckenzie. You might have experienced getting bullied and you would make a connection with this book. You might have ups and downs like Nikki too.

The title describes it because it is a teen Diary and that teen is Nikki. Nikki has a lot of crazy events in her life but it all makes it worth it in the end. This book will remind you of a regular teen movie.  This book kind of connects to me because once my diary was taken but it wasn't from my bully, it was from my sister!

I would recommend this book because there's so much drama in Nikki's life you won't believe it, but in this typical book NIKKI GETS HER DIARY TAKEN AWAY AND EXPOSED! Look at the rest of the series and find out more about Nikki’s life!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Deep End

The Deep End is an amazing edition to the Diary of Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney. My favorite scene is where Gregory the main character has to hide from this kid who told the park ranger that Gregory made a mess at the condiment section, so he dives in the pool and holds his breath until everyone rushes out of the pool because- {Spoilers}. It adds a lot of suspense which is a great example of how beautifully written this book is. This book is mainly about a trip that Greg and his family went on, which has many exciting moments.  Its tone is just like what a middle schooler would write, but it is fiction even though it seems real.

This funny book reminds me of the time I went to NH with my dad and crazy stuff happened to us{Which is also where I read this book}. This is the 15th book from the series, which shows how much people love this series. This is so far my favorite book in this wonderful book series from Jeff Kinney. I 100% recommend this book to all ages and everyone.

Dear Dumb Diary, Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jim Benton

Dear Dumb Diary, Let’s Pretend This Never Happened is written by Jim Benton. Jamey has her own diary about her life and she has her good days and her bad days. She writes everything down at school, and at home. She writes about her friends, her mom and her dad too. There is this girl, her name is Angeline. Jamey thinks she is a bad person, but maybe she is not, maybe she is really nice. Read to find out.

It is a very good book and that is why I am writing about it. Jamey likes school a lot and I like school too. I think it is very fun because you get to learn something new every day. It can be fun, if you make it fun. I like school because you learn something new every day and when you go to school, you get to see your friends every day.

Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Smart Miss Know-It-All by Rachel Renee Russell

Dork Diaries, tales from a not-so-smart miss know it all by Rachel Renee Russell is a book about a girl named Nikki. She was being bullied by a girl named Mackenzie. A while later they all had to visit different schools for a week to see what it was like. Nikki went to this school and there was a girl named Taffy. At the time, Taffy was very nice and annoying and loved to take selfies. Later Nikki saw her frenemy Mackenzie. Mackenzie had two annoying people who Nikki called bullies. Nikki's annoying, pretending-to-be-nice-friend Taffy, became a really big bully. Nikki wished she was with her two friends and her crush, but instead she got seperated into a different school. Will Nikki become friends with her frenemy? Will she ever find out why Mackenzie is a bully? Will Nikki get back at Taffy? I like Dork Diaries. I read them all the time. I chose Dork Diaries because they are easy to read, interesting, and also funny. These books also show and tell you why not to bully and what the consequences are. Reviewed by scarykitty1478

Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Smart Miss Know-It-All is by Rachel Renee Russell. If you're a girl who likes to read about middle school, or reading diaries, or even writing a diary, then Dork Diaries would be a good book for you to read. There's a girl named Nikki Maxwell, she writes a diary about what’s been happening in her life through middle school and her horrible experiences with MacKenzie Hollister and her friends. Nikki has two best friends named Chloe and Zoe who help her through these experiences with Brandon (her crush) and MacKenzie. When Nikki wants to sign up for a part in writing the school newspaper with Brandon, a few things hold her back, including MacKenzie. If you want to find out what the problems were and how she dealt with them you're going to have to read and find out!

I personally liked this book because when I read the first book I had no idea what it was going to be about. I kept on reading to the end of Dork Diaries and I liked these books, because the books that I’ve read so far have been all happy endings. Also the author describes the place and what happened to Nikki so well it feels like you're actually there with her. If you read, or like Diary of A Wimpy Kid books, the Dork Diaries books are very similar.I really liked this book and I suggest you also read it if you're interested in these types of books!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck by Jeff Kinney

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Hard Luck, by Jeff Kinney is one of the best books I have ever read. The main character, Greg, is starting to lose his best friend Rowley, to his girlfriend. This is like a good vs. evil book, and the good is struggling to win. And, he meets his whole wild family, for the first time!  Will Greg get his friend back? What will happen when he meets his family? Find out in Diary of a Wimpy Kid Hard Luck.

Personally, I loved this book all the way through. It reminds me of a cliffhanger making me think  I should continue. But the book was mostly funny, and filled with action. This is why I chose to review this story. I think you’ll like this book too.

Dork Diaries: Tales from a NOT SO FABULOUS Life, by Rachel Renee Russell

Do you like realistic fiction? If you do Nicki. J . Maxwell can help you out in Dork Diaries: Tales of the NOT SO FABULOUS Life, by Rachel Renee Russell.  Nicki is having trouble at her new school because her locker is located next to the meanest, biggest snob at Nicki’s school, Mackenzie. But her locker location is only the least of her problems. Throughout the year Mackenzie does whatever she can to make Nicki’s school year horrible, but one thing turns the tables.  There is a reading week field trip to NYC.  Nicki and her two best friends, Chole and Zoey are doing something unthinkable to impress the reading teacher. They are giving each other temporary tattoos with a pen.  The trend catches on with the most popular boys in school.  The girls are so excited by how many people want tattoos.  The girls start a business where they give people tattoos, but for each tattoo everyone has to donate two books. The business gets so popular that Mackenzie gets jealous. Nicki thinks that her year is turning around until the day of the art show.  Her perfect art piece that she was going to enter gets run over. She also thinks she is losing her friends to the CCP boys until she goes to check out the art show.  Will her pictures of all the tattoos that she gave to the students win a prize?  Looking at the project, Nicki completely forgets that her parents were transferring her to a different school.  Does she still want to leave?  I hope you decide to read this book. It’s really good and I guarantee you won’t want to put it down.

Tales From a Not So Happy Heartbreaker by Rachel Renee Russel

So, Dork Diaries: Tales from a not-so-happy heartbreaker, by Rachel Rene Russel is about a girl her name is Nikki and a sassy girl named Mackenzie. They fight over a boy named Brandon. Who will go to the dance with Brandon? It also tells you about her life and everything. There is one part I don't like. It’s the part when the Gram comes in and talks to the girl. It was annoying.

My opinion about the book is that it is a really good book and it is just like my life. Also I like it because I would love to go to prom. My world and her life are similar because I have a brother, but she has a sister and they kill me. Not really, but annoy me a lot. I mean a lot, but otherwise it's okay. When she is annoyed, that's like me.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney

Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney is a good book. Gregg writes in a diary because his mom did not get him the one that said journal. Instead, she got the one with “diary” on it. In Middle school Gregg has to sit next to morons.

I think this book is so funny, because Gregg’s brother pranks him a lot. Roddrick wakes his brother at midnight and gets in trouble. Even his dad scares him in the kitchen. That's why you should read this book.

Review by PIZZA MASTER

As generic as it is, my book is Diary of a Wimpy Kid, by Jeff Kinney. It is a book about a middle school kid named Greg Heffley. Greg has troubles with his parents and brothers, Rodrick, and Manny, mostly being Rodrick messing around with Greg. His best friend is Rowley Jefferson. Together they get into all sorts of trouble through the many books in the series.
I think this book is pretty good, It's just enjoyable to read, unlike other books I've read. Right now, it's just that one book that every kid loves. And again, something about it makes it really fun to read, It could just be that it's a good book. ANYWAY, in a nutshell this is a good casual book to read for fun in your free time - (In my opinion at least).

It is mainly about the middle brother Greg.  Greg asked his mom for a journal and she came back with a diary.  That’s how the book gets the title, diary of a wimpy kid.  Greg’s best friend Rowley is not up to fashion and Greg wants to be cool so he tries to change him.  I hope you read to find out how Greg’s life turns out.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney

The Diary of a wimpy kid Dog days by Jeff Kinney is about a boy named Greg who tells you about his vacation. He doesn't like the outdoors and he loves playing video games. One day during the summer Greg’s friend Rowley invited him to a country club that his friend Rowley goes to. After a couple weeks Greg is not invited anymore because he was complaining about the littlest things. In my opinion, Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days is probably one of the best series ever made. I have probably read this book 20 times. I hope I gave you enough information about this book and I hope you read it and like it, like I do. By: DJ Curty Kibbles

Diary of a wimpy kid dog days by Jeff Kinney is about a kid named Greg. It's summer and everyone's outside and Greg is inside playing games. His mom makes him join a reading club and at the end he realizes that he had fun, even though he wasn't inside playing video games.
My opinion about the book, Diary of a wimpy kid, is that it is fun and interesting to read. A couple of things about the book is that it can happen in real life and there is a series of books that Jeff Kinney wrote and made movies about the books. It can relate to life because sometimes I will play video games for 3 hours straight, and things won’t always go your way. I think that other people should read the book because it is very fun to read and it is really interesting.

Big Dog

In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney, Greg always wanted a dog, so he tries to persuade his parents to get one for his birthday. The story takes place mostly outside because Greg’s mother persuades him to go have fun outside.  But he really wanted to play video games.  The author’s message is if you put your mind into it, then you will get what you want.  I like this book because it is very funny.  The book reminds me of when I begged for a dog, then after a while I got one on my mom’s birthday.  I would recommend this book because everyone likes Diary of a Wimpy Kid books.
