The Last Kids on Earth by Max Brallier

The Last Kids on Earth by Max Brallier is about Jack Sullivan is a 13-year-old kid that is going through a monster apocalypse. Jack thinks he’s the last of his kind and everyone becomes zombies. Jack tries to save the world, but his first move is to save his friends by thinking he is in a hero movie.

My favorite character is Jack because he loves movies and soda just like I do! My favorite scene in the book is when Jack has to sneak by Blarg to get a super small screwdriver to fix his walkie-talkie to talk to Quint. In the book there are people and middle-schools briefly in the book, but if it was real it would have it for a longer time.

Recess Warriors: Hero is a Four Letter Word by Marcus Emerson

I enjoyed Recess Warriors: Hero is a Four Letter Word by Marcus Emerson because of the imagination and adventure that the story shows. It's based on the adventures of Scrap, aka Bryce the main character. It explains what happens at recess at Armstrong Elementary school. The story-line changes every chapter. Everything happens during their recess. Although they are playing and pretending, the story makes it seem as if it were all real.

The art is amazing and some of the best style I’ve seen in a graphic novel.  The comedy is great, it reminds me of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. There are truly great character designs and the cover design is nice and colorful. It's a world filled with imagination where girls are power hungry pirates and zombies take over the school. Anything can happen in this world and that's why I love this book and I'm sure you’ll like it too.

Zombie Baseball beatdown by Paolo Baciagalupi

Zombie Baseball beatdown by Paolo Bacigalupi is a great book about a kid called Rabi that sees his coach as a zombie and the government told him to keep it as a secret. His friends also saw the zombie. So they have to keep it a secret and if any zombies try to eat them, they got three baseball bats to kill it. Will Rabi get bit? Or will he survive the apocalypse?

The book is great and you should read it! I love that it connects to his problems in the real world turning into him being a hero and trying to kill the zombies. It reminds me of when I played baseball. He was just like me because none of my teammates would’ve cooperated.
