Ten True Tales: Poice Heroes by Allan Zullo

Ten True Tales: Poice Heroes by Allan Zullo is sad and happy. It is a nonfiction book and it feels like you’re with the police for a day. The book covers problems, going from one thing to the next. In one chapter there is a traffic stop that is not working right. The book tells what police do  when they are trying to keep kids safe.

I like the book because I like cops. It’s like you are with a lot of cops. This books reminds me of fast paced hockey.

Dog Man the Lord of the Fleas by Dav Pilkey

Dog Man the Lord of the Fleas by Dav Pilkey is about a cat who is in cat prison. He has escaped 6/7 times. A doctor comes to see him and it turns out to be a friend that used to be in a group called Critter Scouts. Piggy is trying to get revenge on Petey the cat, who is evil. Piggy is trying to get revenge on Petey because he erased his badges. Petey’s badges were erased too. Petey will have a decision to make. Will he try to change and be a hero, or will he be the same old evil cat he always was? Find out in the story, Dog Man the Lord of the Fleas.

I have a connection with the book because it was funny in a lot of ways. It was a cool book, and it had cool characters. The book was a graphic novel and I like comic books. It was also a very creative book and it was a good story.

Hero by Sara Lean

In the book Hero by Sara Lean, a little boy was in a store called Sonic Boom, when suddenly he felt the ground shake.  His dog was right next to him. He ran outside, but then the ground collapsed, the dog fell into the sinkhole.  The little boy stayed at the side of the sinkhole with his dog.  Read the book Hero, to find out what happened to the poor dog in the sinkhole.

This book reminds me of a something that I read in a newspaper.  It was about when a sinkhole happened in Pennsylvania.  Nobody died, but several people were injured and they had to close the road for more than 5 months.

FBI Heroes by Allan Zullo

During the school year I read a book that was titled, FBI Heroes, by Allan Zullo. This is a realistic, science, nonfiction, informational, crime book.  In this book there are many selections and many investigators who solve crimes from murders to kidnappings, Friday night bank robbers to terrorist attacks. The FBI Heroes don’t let the criminals get away with anything and that’s why they live by the motto Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity. The book took place in the present at all different crime scenes. This book is very informational to students who want to study or be an F.B.I Agent for a job. I would make a text to world connection because this book teaches you how to be sneaky heroes without letting the criminals know! These criminals receive severe punishments, such as the death penalty or life in jail. This book and all its themes interest me a lot.  I would highly recommend this book to students who enjoy reading Allan Zullo books, or the amazing Ten True Tales series!  Don't forget to check out Allan Zullo’s amazing website by clicking on the title link above.
