The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies

The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies, was about a girl named Jessie and her brother Evan who had a Lemonade War. They had an argument because Evan wouldn’t play with Jessie any more and they agreed to have a Lemonade War. Who ever came up with a hundred dollars or more would win and get the loser's money. So they both had a lemonade stand with their friends, but they added some things to their lemonade stands, like face painting so they could get more money. Then, Evan stole his sister's money, because he knew he was going to lose. He accidently loses the money at his friend’s house. Do you think he is going to tell Jessie? Who do you think will win now?
I really liked this book. I just couldn’t keep my eyes off it. I really loved how there were a lot of cliffhangers, but I would appreciate if the story was told from Jesse's point of view or Evan’s point of view. The Lemonade War really reminded me of when I saw this movie of when two neighbors had a war on who had the best christmas lights.

The Lemonade Crime by Jacqueline Davies

The Lemonade Crime by Jacqueline Davies takes place at a school. A boy named Scott got a new Xbox 20/20 over the Summer. Another boy named Evan lost $200 over the summer. Evan wonders where Scott got the money to buy the Xbox 20/20. Evan tells his bossy little sister how he thinks Scott stole his money and his sister brings Scott to “Child court.” Who is lying? Did Scott actually steal the money?
I love how the author creates suspense by introducing a lot of new conflicts. The suspense made me never want to put the book down. This book reminds me of when I used to watch Judge Judy with my family. It reminds me of that because the children go to fake court just like Judge Judy goes to real court.

Lemonade Mouth by Mark Peter Hughes

Lemonade Mouth by Mark Peter Hughes is a book about five high school students that lose a lemonade machine.  The students decide to make a band to try to raise the money to get the school to buy the machine back.  The group goes through a lot of family and social problems.  This book is very interesting and I promise you’ll be on the edge of your seat the whole time you are reading it.  It's just one of those books you can't put down.  This book involves romance, sadness, and there are some happy parts too.  I hope you get as much joy out of this book as I did!  They made this book into a movie too.
