FBI Heroes by Allan Zullo

During the school year I read a book that was titled, FBI Heroes, by Allan Zullo. This is a realistic, science, nonfiction, informational, crime book.  In this book there are many selections and many investigators who solve crimes from murders to kidnappings, Friday night bank robbers to terrorist attacks. The FBI Heroes don’t let the criminals get away with anything and that’s why they live by the motto Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity. The book took place in the present at all different crime scenes. This book is very informational to students who want to study or be an F.B.I Agent for a job. I would make a text to world connection because this book teaches you how to be sneaky heroes without letting the criminals know! These criminals receive severe punishments, such as the death penalty or life in jail. This book and all its themes interest me a lot.  I would highly recommend this book to students who enjoy reading Allan Zullo books, or the amazing Ten True Tales series!  Don't forget to check out Allan Zullo’s amazing website by clicking on the title link above.

Tales From a Not So Happy Heartbreaker by Rachel Renee Russel

So, Dork Diaries: Tales from a not-so-happy heartbreaker, by Rachel Rene Russel is about a girl her name is Nikki and a sassy girl named Mackenzie. They fight over a boy named Brandon. Who will go to the dance with Brandon? It also tells you about her life and everything. There is one part I don't like. It’s the part when the Gram comes in and talks to the girl. It was annoying.

My opinion about the book is that it is a really good book and it is just like my life. Also I like it because I would love to go to prom. My world and her life are similar because I have a brother, but she has a sister and they kill me. Not really, but annoy me a lot. I mean a lot, but otherwise it's okay. When she is annoyed, that's like me.

diaries: Tales From a Not So Happy Heartbreaker is one of the many Dork Diaries books by Rachel Renee Russel. This book is entertaining and funny.  Most people can connect with Nikki and her problems.  In book 6, Nikki’s school is having a sweet heart dance and Nikki wants to go with Brandon, but he keeps blowing her off.  The dance is coming up. Will Nikki be going with Brandon?  Will their friendship be ruined?  This was an excellent book.  I couldn’t put it down or stop reading it!

Behind Enemy lines by Bill Doyle

Behind enemy Lines: Under Fire in the Middle East is written by Bill Doyle. If you’re the type of kid who does not like reading at all, this book is the paperback for you.  This is the second book in the Behind Enemy Lines series, the first one blew me away and the second one was astounding.  Each book is different and has many different stories of diverse military soldiers.  In one chapter there is a soldier who is blown up 3 times by I.E.D (improvised explosive devises).  He was told he couldn’t look for any more I.E.Ds.  He was told to go home, but he wanted to work more.  Read the book to see if he goes home.  In another chapter a bomber goes to a military base where three dogs jump on him then the bomber blows up his suitcase bomb.  Find out if the dogs are okay.  Like Bill Doyle says, this book is about real heroes who risk it all for their country.  The soldiers in the book had to have their names changed so military information can be kept a secret, other than that all of the stories are completely a mind blowing, heart stopping, jaw dropping true story.  Not yet in your school library, check the public library for this book.
