Stacey’s Mistake By Ann M. Martin

The Baby-Sitters Club Stacey’s Mistake By Ann M. Martin is a great book. This is a book about a girl named Stacey Mcgill who lives in New York City. She used to live in Stoneybrook Connecticut, which is where her friends live, Kristy, Mary Ann, Claudia, and Dawn. She misses her friends very much, so she invites them to New York City. That was a big mistake because Mary Ann is being really annoying. Kristy can’t keep her mouth shut. Claudia hates Stacey's friends and Dawn is afraid of the big city. Stacy wishes she didn’t invite them.

I like this book because it’s interesting. In this series, there are 94 books. I think this is the best series that you should read. I can’t decide which is my favorite part in the book though.

Death on Naboo by Jude Watson

Death on Naboo by Jude Watson is from The Last Of The Jedi, Star Wars series. It is about some Jedis attacking the villain named Malorum. Will Ferus Olin and his friends be able to defeat Malourum? What will the emperor do?

Overall the book is really good and I think you should read it. I really like this series. The book has cool characters and Jude Watson did a good job with it. I love Star Wars and if you do too, read this book. Also this book is the 4th book in the Star Wars: Last of the Jedi series.

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

In the book Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, Nora Grey's life is far from perfect. Nora had an attempt on her life yet survived which wasn’t a pleasant thing to go through. She had gained a guardian angel, but sadly her guardian angel was far from angelic, matter of fact quite devil-ish. The guardian angel named Patch had been given a second chance with life, while still not being human or being able to be seen. I personally believe that this book is good for most ages above 9-10 while it all depends on your mental age and how well you can take 18+ themes or themes of violence. Other than that, it’s truly an amazing book.

I can relate with the character Nora Grey, as I believe she would be a great friend who wouldn’t talk about someone behind their back unless given a good reason, which I believe is outstanding friend material. This book would be the romance and horror category of books, although it rarely states anything truly in the horror category, even though there is gore and topics of such. Some parts of the book remind me of a few of the goosebumps series.

The One And Only Bob by Katharine Applegate

I like The One And Only Bob by Katharine Applegate because it shows me that different animals can like animals that are not the same species as them. It can also means that animals can talk to species they have never met before.

In the story Bob, Ivan, and Ruby all like talking to each other with the different sounds they make. Ivan is a gorilla, Bob is a chihuahua, and Ruby is an elephant! They love going on adventures with each other and going through good times and bad times. It can get so hard that they lose each other sometimes.

Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Happy Birthday by Rachel Renee Russell

Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Happy Birthday by Rachel Renee Russell. This book is about these 3 girls, Zoey, Chloe and Nikki. Nikki  is the main character. Nikki is going to have a luau party but there is a problem. The party is going to be canceled because her mom is ruining her party and she is very stressed. Later in the story Chloe has the invitations she made for the party and while she is gone the invitations are gone.

My favorite character is Nikki's little sister Brianna. She is very funny and adorable and I love how she tries to make things for her sister. I can relate to this story because once I had a birthday party.

Kristy’s Great Idea by Raina Telgemeier

Kristy’s Great Idea by Raina Telgemeier is a graphic novel based on the novel by Ann M. Martin, and part of The Baby-sitters Club series. The character in the book that is my favorite is Kristy. My favorite scene is when Kristy wants to start a babysitters club. Kristy has some friends, their names are Claudia, Mary, and Stacey . The plot of the book is the story starts in the beginning of 7th grade and at Claudia's house. The B.S.C. (or Baby Sitter Club) meetings  are in Claudia's room.

The reason I like this book is because there's a lot of friendship and babysitting. There is a show on Netflix with two seasons called The Baby - sitters club. The show is as good as the books. I think you should read the book, then watch the show.

Dog man Fetch-22 by Dav Pilkey

Dog man Fetch-22 by Dav Pilkey is a really fun book! There are a lot of plot twists! Like when an evil fish named Flippy was being mean, but then it turned into  a story that was made after one of the many other Dog Man books came out. It's also clever that at the beginning of the book the author  Dav Pilkey told us the real authors were two little kids named George and Harold. The main character is a dog/man which is why he is called dog man. There is a reason why he is half dog and half man. The story is in the front of every book.

I really liked this book when I was younger. I would say it's from a 2-3rd grade level book. The best part about it is that it's easy to read. All the Dog Man books are easy to read because they are graphic novels. I also like that every once and awhile there are jokes, and they are not corny, they are really good sometimes. The book reminds me of my auntie’s dog because all the men had connections to the dog, but none of the girls did.

Amulet 8: Supernova by Kazu Kibuishi

This is a book review about Amulet 8: Supernova by Kazu Kibuishi. This book is from a series of 9 books but right now there are 8. The ninth, and the final book in the Amulet series has not came out yet. Google says book 9 will come out October 25, 2022. The main character is Emily. She is the strongest character in the Amulet series. She is powerful because of an amulet she found in book 1. If you have not read book 1 yet, this is how she got the amulet. In The beginning, Emily’s dad died in a car crash. Then she moved into her great grandpas houes and found the amulet.

This book kind of reminds me of Ukraine and Russia because they're in a war and in the Amulet book series there's also a war going on. If you like action-packed fiction themed graphic novels with magical powers and wars, this is the book for you.

The Guardian of the Realm by Elisabetta Dami

The Guardian of the Realm by Elisabetta Dami writing under the pseudonym Geronimo Stilton is full of adventure, action, and comedy. There are many surprising moments, and unexpected twists and turns. There are many characters, animals, and other fantastical creatures. One of the surprising moments is when a HUGE sea snake comes from the water and the main character is terrified! Will he find a friend?

The events of The Guardian of the Realm reminded me of the first book in the series. I want to do exactly what they did in this book, like go to new places, explore, and much more. This is the 11th book in the series Of the Kingdom of Fantasy. For me, the title of the book expanded my imagination and beliefs.

The Last Kids on Earth by Max Brallier

The Last Kids on Earth by Max Brallier is about Jack Sullivan is a 13-year-old kid that is going through a monster apocalypse. Jack thinks he’s the last of his kind and everyone becomes zombies. Jack tries to save the world, but his first move is to save his friends by thinking he is in a hero movie.

My favorite character is Jack because he loves movies and soda just like I do! My favorite scene in the book is when Jack has to sneak by Blarg to get a super small screwdriver to fix his walkie-talkie to talk to Quint. In the book there are people and middle-schools briefly in the book, but if it was real it would have it for a longer time.

Ghost Dog Secrets by Peg Kehret

Ghost Dog Secrets is written by Peg Kehret. I specifically picked this book because the understanding and descriptions are great. This is personally one of my favorite books knowing that they are trying to save someone. Rusty and his friend, Andrew attempt to save a dog that wasn’t treated properly by its owner. There was a house in a neighborhood that Rusty stumbled across and saw a dog that looked very skinny and badly treated. Rusty took pictures of the dog for evidence to prove the dog was poorly treated. Although Andrew's little sister found out and told her parents….

I have quite a good connection with this book because my family and I actually rescued our dog. My dog was in need of help when my mom and dad found her at an abandoned place near where my grandpa works. They then decided to surprise us with the dog around four weeks later as a present after we got home from a friend’s birthday party.

Review by-R0sey

The story, Ghost Dog Secrets, by Peg Kehret is about Rusty and his friend, Andrew, saving an abused dog. Every day Rusty feeds a skinny dog chained up with no shelter or food. His friend, Andrew, soon helps. After several days of feeding this dog they decided to take it home but try to hide it from his mother.  Wendy, (Andrews' little sister) is following him around and figured out that they have a dog, and she told on them. There had been a ghost dog trying to get Rusty to follow him. Eventually, Rusty followed him and encountered Ra’s mean owner, who was making terrible threats.

This book reminds of something going on in real life, because dog abuse does happen in real life. This book is fiction, but I think some parts are very realistic.

Grime and Punishment by Dav Pilkey

Grime and Punishment by Dav Pilkey is part of the Dog Man series. So the main plot of the book is that the dog man is in big trouble and Petey’s dad gets out of cat jail and they have to stop him. I really liked the books. It was really funny and fun to read. My thoughts about this book are that when I first started reading it, I didn't like it. But after I read it for a little bit, I really liked it, because I like all the action. I just wish I could write a book.

This book is like Captain Underpants. My favorite character is obviously Dog Man, but I also kind of like Petey’s son because he is very funny. I don't feel like telling you guys my favorite scene because I don't want to spoil it. But if you want to hear, then keep reading, but if you don't, skip this. My favorite part is when Pete's father turns the bag into a human with the spray. This book is fiction and this is my book review. This book is a Graphic Novel.

Dog Man: Mothering Heights by Dav Pilkey

Dog Man: Mothering Heights by Dav Pilkey is about Dog Man, who has to go through the troubles of having a cone on his head. Lil’ Petey who keeps trying to keep Petey on his good side. As well as Petey who is trying to be on tv without any interruptions. All in all, all the characters have their own problems that they’re all going through.

I think that this book is really funny, has a lot of action and is easy for anyone to read. Although I do suggest that you should read all the other dog man books before you read this one. I really like this graphic novel series and I believe it is the best.

Golden State Warriors by Sam Moussavi

Golden State Warriors by Sam Moussavi is about basketball with the Golden State Warriors and part of the Inside the NBA series. The state the warriors are from is San Francisco, California. The thing I like about this book is that it gives a lot of facts about the Golden state warriors. What years they played in how many championships they had. They talk about all the old players back then.

This reminds me of myself, because I play basketball. And it talks about the players like Stephen Curry, who during 2015-16  had a .908 free throw average and in 2016 he made 1,593 three-pointers. Curry had 40 playoff game wins. And he made three NBA all-star teams. It talks about the greatest moments about the warriors during the 2015 NBA finals. The Golden State Warriors won 67 games during the regular season. I love reading basketball books and this one is my favorite.

Leatherback Sea Turtle by Rod Theodorou

Leatherback Sea Turtle by Rod Theodorou, from the Animals in Danger series. I like this book because it’s about turtles and I love turtles. It’s about Leatherback sea turtles and it gave me facts about Leatherback sea turtles. Facts like their mass is 550 – 1,500 lbs , they are 6 – 7.2 ft ,and they eat  jellyfish and sea squirts. So that is really cool to me that their mass is 550 – 1,500 lbs and that they are 6 – 7.2 ft. Also that they eat jellyfish and sea squirts in the sea.

I like this book and I hope you will like this book just as much as I do. Sea Turtles have always been my favorite animal my whole life because I had a turtle when I was little. I like them because they swim and I also love swiming. Did you know that the leatherback sea turtle is endangered?

Something from Nothing by Phoebe Gilman

I like the book, Something from Nothing by Phoebe Gilman because it is heartwarming. It is about Joseph’s grandfather making him a blue moon blanket  when he was a baby to keep him warm at night and to chase the bad dreams away. When Joseph started to get older, the blanket started to get old too. It was frazzled and torn and his mom wanted to throw it out, but Joseph still wanted the blanket. So grandpa fixed and snipped and twisted and turned it, and he made the blanket into a vest that Joseph could wear all the time with him. Joseph liked it and the other kids did too.

I like this book. It is so good. You might like it too because it makes you feel joy and warmth inside and the book is about family and children. You should go to your nearby library and try to find this book and go read it. Have a Good Day.

The Creature from the Seventh Grade, Boy or Beast

The Creature from the Seventh Grade, Boy or Beast by Bob Balaban is about a boy that is in the seventh grade that gets bullied. He gets bullied because he is a short and skinny seventh grader. He doesn't do any sports so he gets made fun of then something happens. He becomes a dinosaur, everyone likes him and he is nice and might try a sport.

I like the book because it is funny, cool and it is interesting. I connected with this book because I do not bully and I don't stand with bullying.

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt is very interesting because in the story there's this spring and if you drink from it you’ll live forever. While Jesse and Winnie were traveling through the woods, Winne found the spring and wanted to drink it because she was thirsty. But Jesse told her not to drink the spring but she wanted to drink it. So the Tucks kidnapped her to tell her about the water. While she was getting kidnapped, there was this man in the yellow suit who saw it. So the man in the yellow suit negotiated with Winnie’s parents to get the spring in order for him to tell them where Winnie is.

The reason I liked this book is because it’s fiction and it’s a really interesting story. Also this book is a mystery. It reminds me of the time when I felt like running away because I was annoyed by my parents. I also would love to live forever.

Junie B. Jones is a Party Animal by Barbara Park

In Junie B. Jones is a Party Animal by Barbara Park, Junie B. Jones gets invited to Lucille’s slumber party, at her rich Nanna’s home. Junie B’s friend, Grace, is also going. They’re excited because they consider Lucille extremely rich. She wears elegant clothing has rich furniture and brags about her fancy life. Spending your time at a rich nanna’s house would be amazing, right? At least she thought so.

This book is mostly written for younger audiences. It's funny and child friendly. My favorite character is either Junie B. or Lucille. Junie B. is funny because she isn’t mature enough to know many things, and Lucille has a sassy attitude like most little kids. This book reminds me of when I was in kindergarten and acted like a crazy kid when I knew absolutely nothing. Junie B. is like other kindergarteners, too hyper!
