Forgive My Fins, by Tera Lynn Childs, is a book
about a girl named Lily who has a huge crush on a swimmer named Brody, but
something happens and now she’s stuck with Quince. Lily is a mermaid, the
princess of Thasslainia. In this book, a mermaid can’t have a boyfriend then
break up with him for no reason. They have to go through a long separating
routine that might not even work. The story takes place at school and in the
ocean. When I was little I used to pretend I was a mermaid when I was in the
pool. I think this book is funny and exciting. When I first started the book I didn't really like it, but once I got to the middle of the book I loved it! I would
totally recommend this book to anyone who might like mermaids or drama.
