Army Delta Force by Carlos Alvarez

The book, Army Delta Force by Carlos Alvarez, tells you about the guns they use in the army. It also explains where the soldiers are most commonly deployed, and what kind of missions they go on. Sometimes it also tells you what equipment they use and how they use it.

I like this book because it gives you fun information and it is also interesting to know what kind of weapons, and equipment  the army uses. I also think anyone who likes or wants to go into the military will enjoy this book and the other books that are just like it, such as Night Stalkers, Marine Expeditionary Units, and Army Rangers.

Heroes Don't Run by Harry Mazer

Heroes Don’t Run is a book by Harry Mazer that takes place in 1994. In the story the main character, Adam Pelko is the son of a lieutenant. Follow Adam through boot camp, war, and find out if he goes home hurt or if he fights through till the end.  I would recommend this book to a friend that likes books about war.  A personal connection I made was how my Pepa was in World War 2.  I wonder what it was like to be in a war like them.

Shooting the Moon by Frances O’Roark Dowell

In Shooting the Moon by Frances O’Roark Dowell, Jamie and her brother T.J. are both Army brats, which means that their father is in the military. They were both raised to think that the army way is the best way but, when T.J. gets sent to Vietnam, Jamie starts to get second thoughts about the true valor of the U.S ARMY.  Reading this book is like looking in a mirror of my life because I’m also an army brat and this is at the top of my awesome list - 5 out of 5 stars.

The United States Army by Michael Green

The United States Army by Michael Green is a book is about the United States Army.  This book tells the history, weapons, ranks, training, and the future of the army.  The main characters are real people in the army.  I like them because they defended our country for years.  The story’s setting takes place around the world. The author’s message is providing information to show how hard their job is in the army.  This is an informational, nonfiction book.  Do you think the future will be saved by the United States Army?
