School’s Out by Johanna Hurwitz

The book School’s Out by Johanna Hurwitz is about how to take care of your siblings and care for them and help them. During summer vacation a kid named Lucas and his babysitter named Geniveive have to watch Lucas’s brothers named Marius and Marcus. One time both Marius and Marcus stepped in a container of paint and when they got out of the paint, the paint got all over the grass in the lawn. Afterwards the brother’s got inside and Lucas gave them a bath. One time Marius climbed under the seats at the movie and Lucas and Genevieve had to find Marius. Lucas had to climb under the seats and one time Lucas grabbed a random person's leg.

I think this book is realistic because I have to take care of my siblings too. I also play games like football with my brothers. In the morning I help my brother get breakfast. I also help my brother put his jacket, gloves, and hat on in the morning.

Summer of Bad Ideas by Kiera Stewart

The book Summer of Bad Ideas, by Kiera Stewart is about two cousins Edith and Rae. Edith is a well behaved girl and obeys the rules. Rae is daring and outgoing and does not obey the rules. They were on vacation in a swamp in an old house that their grandma had when she was alive. No one has been in the house in 4 years. Edith and Rae find a letter with bad ideas to do over the summer.  For example, they had to catch a snake bare handed and Edith is afraid of snakes. They sneak out and they need to complete daring tasks. Will they survive, will they fail or will they make it through the list?

I love the way the author includes suspense, it kept me off my seat. I could not stop reading the book. I like how the author includes very good details in the story. The story reminds me of when I had to complete a “to do” list for summer a couple of  years ago and I completed it.  Read the book to find out what the rest of the list is.

The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies

The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies, was about a girl named Jessie and her brother Evan who had a Lemonade War. They had an argument because Evan wouldn’t play with Jessie any more and they agreed to have a Lemonade War. Who ever came up with a hundred dollars or more would win and get the loser's money. So they both had a lemonade stand with their friends, but they added some things to their lemonade stands, like face painting so they could get more money. Then, Evan stole his sister's money, because he knew he was going to lose. He accidently loses the money at his friend’s house. Do you think he is going to tell Jessie? Who do you think will win now?
I really liked this book. I just couldn’t keep my eyes off it. I really loved how there were a lot of cliffhangers, but I would appreciate if the story was told from Jesse's point of view or Evan’s point of view. The Lemonade War really reminded me of when I saw this movie of when two neighbors had a war on who had the best christmas lights.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney

The Diary of a wimpy kid Dog days by Jeff Kinney is about a boy named Greg who tells you about his vacation. He doesn't like the outdoors and he loves playing video games. One day during the summer Greg’s friend Rowley invited him to a country club that his friend Rowley goes to. After a couple weeks Greg is not invited anymore because he was complaining about the littlest things. In my opinion, Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days is probably one of the best series ever made. I have probably read this book 20 times. I hope I gave you enough information about this book and I hope you read it and like it, like I do. By: DJ Curty Kibbles

Diary of a wimpy kid dog days by Jeff Kinney is about a kid named Greg. It's summer and everyone's outside and Greg is inside playing games. His mom makes him join a reading club and at the end he realizes that he had fun, even though he wasn't inside playing video games.
My opinion about the book, Diary of a wimpy kid, is that it is fun and interesting to read. A couple of things about the book is that it can happen in real life and there is a series of books that Jeff Kinney wrote and made movies about the books. It can relate to life because sometimes I will play video games for 3 hours straight, and things won’t always go your way. I think that other people should read the book because it is very fun to read and it is really interesting.

Big Dog

In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney, Greg always wanted a dog, so he tries to persuade his parents to get one for his birthday. The story takes place mostly outside because Greg’s mother persuades him to go have fun outside.  But he really wanted to play video games.  The author’s message is if you put your mind into it, then you will get what you want.  I like this book because it is very funny.  The book reminds me of when I begged for a dog, then after a while I got one on my mom’s birthday.  I would recommend this book because everyone likes Diary of a Wimpy Kid books.

I like this book, because I can relate to Greg's life.  I don’t really like reading and I like video games.  I love the dairy of a wimp kid series, because I can relate to it and it’s a fast easy read.  I read this book over the summer, and once I started reading I could not stop!  I think anyone who is looking for a good, fun, easy book, this is the book for you!
