The Lemonade Crime by Jacqueline Davies

The Lemonade Crime by Jacqueline Davies takes place at a school. A boy named Scott got a new Xbox 20/20 over the Summer. Another boy named Evan lost $200 over the summer. Evan wonders where Scott got the money to buy the Xbox 20/20. Evan tells his bossy little sister how he thinks Scott stole his money and his sister brings Scott to “Child court.” Who is lying? Did Scott actually steal the money?
I love how the author creates suspense by introducing a lot of new conflicts. The suspense made me never want to put the book down. This book reminds me of when I used to watch Judge Judy with my family. It reminds me of that because the children go to fake court just like Judge Judy goes to real court.
