Heroes of 9/11 by Allan Zullo

In Heroes of 9/11 by Allan Zullo, Captain Jay Jonas and Officer David Lim are heroes from 9/11.  When the towers fell they were both inside and they heard it falling, but they still wanted to stay inside to save people.  More than 3000 people died that day and many were injured.  Some people were okay but others didn't make it.  Officer David Lim and his dog Sirius were in the tower when it fell.  When the tower fell, Officer David Lim’s dog died instantly.  This reminded me of when my sister’s house burned down; firemen came to put the fire out. I would recommend this book for people who like sad and scary books or nonfiction.  You'll need to check this one out from the public library.

A Boy and His Bot by Daniel H. Wilson

A Boy and his Bot by Daniel H. Wilson is a story about a shy boy named Cody.   He goes on a fieldtrip with his class at a place called the mounds.  Cody remembers the day his grandfather was lost at the mounds.  But something strange happens when Cody follow a little green light.  He follows it to a tree and he wakes up in a world of robots.  Now he has to find his way out to get back to his world.  He has to face different challenges along the way.  This book somewhat reminds me of The Hunger Games because it takes place in the future and because it’s a life or death situation.  I would recommend this to people who like adventures, and action.  I really liked this book and I hope you do to.

Poppy and Ereth by Avi

Poppy and Ereth by Avi is both fantasy and fable.  Poppy and Ereth live in the Dimwood Forest.  This book is about Poppy and Ereth going on an adventure to find the right climate to live in, because in the Dimwood Forest there is a huge snowstorm.  I like this book because the author’s message is to tell people that everyone has feelings, even animals. I love this book because it has a lot of voice and it’s about animals. The mood is exciting, sad, and even a little scary.  I would recommend this book to young readers through 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.

The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan

The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan is about 3 kids, Jason, Leo, and Piper, who meet over 250 different kinds of Mythical Creatures and Gods. One of my favorite gods is Zeus, the king of gods and lighting. In this story Zeus has to help Jason, Leo and Piper by banishing a mythological god named Aurora, the god of rain, who is their enemy.

The Lost Hero is a great book! If you are into Gods and Greek Mythology, this is the perfect book for you. With over 250 different kinds of creatures and mythical gods and 456 pages of adventure, this is a book of greatness!! This book reminds me of when Mythical gods were real and when people believed in Mythical Gods and Creatures.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I love The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. In this book Katniss Everdeen gets a tragic surprise. Her sister, Prim Rose, is chosen to go into the Hunger Games. The Hunger Games are when all 12 districts of Panem give a boy tribute and a girl tribute who must fight to the death in the arena. The last one standing is the victor. Loving her sister more than anything, she volunteers in her place. A boy named Peeta Mellark is chosen to go with her. Katniss will fight to survive and become Peeta’s ally. Will she win or will love interfere?

I love this book. I like the action and how every scene leaves you thinking. Like wondering, “What’s gonna happen next?”, or, “Oh no!”. It is a mix of happy and sad. It is very realistic in a way. It reminds me of when I stay in New Hampshire in the woods.  I give it a 10/10 rating. I hope you read the book and love it like I did.

This book is called The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins. The main characters are Peeta and Katniss. Prim, Katniss’ sister, gets chosen for the hunger games, but Katniss goes instead. Many will go in,.. but only one will come out. The main idea of this book is to try to win, and be the only one left alive in the game.

I loved The Hunger Games. My favorite characters are Katniss, Peeta, and Rue. There was a lot of drama and fighting in it. Also my favorite part about it was when Katniss was with Rue and then they helped each other out. They were also good friends. I can relate to this book because Katniss is a big sister of Prim and I am also a big sister of my little sister Khloe. I rate this book 10 out of 10.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is a very interesting and very exciting book. There are 2 main characters, Katniss Everdeen, and Peeta Mellark. They fight for their lives while battling in the 74 Hunger Games.

I connected to this because I fight with my sisters. I think the Hunger Games is a very good book. I think that anyone that likes adventure will love the Hunger games. The author Suzanne Collins is a very good author and she wrote a very good book.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is about one girl named Katniss and her sister, Prim. They are elected to go into the Hunger Games. But Prim was the girl who got selected to go into the arena alongside a boy named Peeta. Katniss did not want her sister to go into the arena so she volunteered as a tribute, replacing her sister.

The Hunger Games is a thrilling book that makes you sit on the edge of your seat. There are 12 districts , the setting is in district 12. In each district one girl and one boy are elected to go into an arena and fight for their lives. At the end one girl or boy will win the Hunger Games.

My connection is that Katniss, the main character has a sister Prim, she loves her sister and protects her. And that's how I  am with my sisters. Katniss is very brave and strong. She is a young woman who reminds me of myself.

First of all, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is a young adult book, so don’t expect to find it in your elementary school library.  I would ask a parent if you could read it, but if you can, it’s a great book.  One of the best I've read.  But, like the Harry Potter series, you have to read the whole set. This book takes place in the future where there is a capitol and 12 districts and the capitol rules over all the districts.  To show their power, they hold the hunger games, where one girl and one boy from the age of 12 to 18 (called tributes) from every district go and fight to the death with the other tributes. The main character’s name is Katniss.  She is from district 12 and her sister Primrose was chosen on the day that they start the hunger games (called the reaping day).  Because Primrose was chosen, Katniss volunteers to take her sister’s place as tribute.  She is going to go into the arena and fight to the death for the entertainment of the citizens of the capitol. Will she survive?
Read the book to find out!  Don’t forget to read the second book, Catching Fire, and the third, Mocking Jay.

I enjoyed this book, very much. The Hunger games, was one of the most addicting trilogies I’ve ever read. Katniss Everdeen is a girl living in the nation of Panem, a country in which North America once was. On the reaping day, her younger sister Primrose was chosen. Katniss decided to volunteer in place of her sister. The Hunger Games is a televised, annual event in which 1 girl and boy throughout the ages of 12 and 18 must battle as tributes. Katniss is in District 12 with another boy named Peeta whom she knows from school. When they have an interview with the host, Peeta announces his love for Katniss, and they are named star-crossed lovers. But, only one person can become the victor. Who will rein champion?  I recommend this book for mature children who love a good trilogy.
By primadonna.

This is the first time I’ve experienced the writings of Suzanne Collins.  She is a great writer and describes many details in this fairly new book, The Hunger Games.  She has made the story of Katniss Everdeen very personal to me.  She, like myself, has to fight for what she wants in this world.  Katniss lives in Panem, or what once was North America.  She saves her sister Prim from going to the Hunger Games.  Her stylist Cinna helps her to become the girl on fire.  Read this fantastic book to find out more.  Enjoy!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney

The Diary of a wimpy kid Dog days by Jeff Kinney is about a boy named Greg who tells you about his vacation. He doesn't like the outdoors and he loves playing video games. One day during the summer Greg’s friend Rowley invited him to a country club that his friend Rowley goes to. After a couple weeks Greg is not invited anymore because he was complaining about the littlest things. In my opinion, Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days is probably one of the best series ever made. I have probably read this book 20 times. I hope I gave you enough information about this book and I hope you read it and like it, like I do. By: DJ Curty Kibbles

Diary of a wimpy kid dog days by Jeff Kinney is about a kid named Greg. It's summer and everyone's outside and Greg is inside playing games. His mom makes him join a reading club and at the end he realizes that he had fun, even though he wasn't inside playing video games.
My opinion about the book, Diary of a wimpy kid, is that it is fun and interesting to read. A couple of things about the book is that it can happen in real life and there is a series of books that Jeff Kinney wrote and made movies about the books. It can relate to life because sometimes I will play video games for 3 hours straight, and things won’t always go your way. I think that other people should read the book because it is very fun to read and it is really interesting.

Big Dog

In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney, Greg always wanted a dog, so he tries to persuade his parents to get one for his birthday. The story takes place mostly outside because Greg’s mother persuades him to go have fun outside.  But he really wanted to play video games.  The author’s message is if you put your mind into it, then you will get what you want.  I like this book because it is very funny.  The book reminds me of when I begged for a dog, then after a while I got one on my mom’s birthday.  I would recommend this book because everyone likes Diary of a Wimpy Kid books.
