Travel Team by Mike Lupica
Travel
Team is written by Mike Lupica. He is also the author of Summer Ball. The main
character of this book is Danny Walker. He is a talented basketball player but somehow doesn't get chosen to be on the Vikings travel team. I
personally feel bad for him. Read to find out how he gets revenge on the
Vikings for not choosing him to be on the team. Is it that Danny isn't talented
enough, or did the evaluators just mess up?

No Easy Day by Mark Owen
No Easy Day, written
by former U.S. Navy SEAL Mark
Owen, is an action packed thrill ride that takes you through the military
life of Mark Owen, including his training, deployments, and some personal
things, all leading up to the raid on
Osama Bin Laden’s Compound. This book is
a real eye opener to how hard it is to be part of a U.S. Naval SEAL Team and the
sacrifices these people make to protect us.
My dream is to be a Navy SEAL, and this book taught me a lot about what
it takes and the tremendous amount of training you have to endure to become a
Navy SEAL. This book really inspired me
and will inspire anyone else who has the love for military like me. The school library doesn't own this book, so check it out of the public library.

The Witches by Roald Dahl
The Witches by Roald
Dahl is a fiction and fairly tale. There are a lot of witches and they dress up
as humans. They turn little kids into… something.
I’m
not going to say what, so it can be a
surprise for you. I love a book that has fairy tales and this
is a good one for a sixth grader. You

Because Of Mr. Terupt by Rob Buyea
Because Of
Mr. Terupt was written by Rob Buyea, who
also wrote the story Mr. Terupt Falls Again. This is the first of Rob Buyea’s
books. I would suggest this book for anyone who enjoys a happy ending. This
book starts with the kids hating the fact that they have to get a new 5th grade teacher. But then they start to realize that Mr. Terupt isn't such a bad
teacher after all. When tragedy hits it leaves the kids worried, but I
don’t want to give away too much. Will Mr. Terupt survive? You will have to wait
and see J J .

Bowties305 did a great job with their post on this book. I just finished Because of Mr. Terupt and it really is a very good book. I like how the story is told from the characters' different points of view. This story would make a great read aloud for teachers who want to start a discussion on classroom bullying.

Did Mr.Terupt change the whole fifth grade class? Read, Because of Mr.Terupt, by Rob Buyea to see
how sad the kids were. But don’t blame Peter,
he meant to hit Luke when he threw the snowball. As you begin to read, you find out Mr.Terupt did a lot of wrestling while growing up and
in college. He gave these up because he
suffered several concussions. To see if
Mr.Terupt survives, read this book. Just
because he is a new teacher, doesn't mean he’s a bad one. You should give people chances.

The book Behind the Bedroom Wall by Laura E. Williams is about
a girl named Korinna Rehme and she is part of a Nazi Youth group. She’s German and one night she hears noise
behind the bedroom wall and she doesn’t know what it is. If you read the book you can find out what is
lying behind her bedroom wall and if you like books about Hitler you will
definitely like this book. This book is
even coming to our library soon so if you want to check it out it’s a really
good book.

Among The Betrayed by Margaret Peterson Haddix
The book Among The Betrayed by Margaret Peterson Haddix is a very interesting and adventurous book. This book is science fiction. The main characters are Nina, Matthias, Percy
and Alia. The kids are 13, 10, 9 and 6 years old. Nina is the oldest child in the
book. The main settings are the woods and jail. This story is about four children. In this future world families are only allowed to have two children, if you are a third child in the family and you
get caught, you can get taken away by the population police. The mood in this
story is very sad, but it’s very interesting what the kids do. I would
recommend this book to people that like adventure.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is written by J.K. Rowling. This book takes place in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Quirrell wants to get the “Sorcerer’s Stone” from Harry Potter to conquer the world. Quirrell and Harry continue to fight over and over again. Quirrell gets the stone, then goes out of the area and sets fire around the area with his wand. The fire then goes out, and Quirrell gets knocked down. Harry gets the stone. When Quirrell touches Harry, Quirrell burns to ashes. This is because Harry has the Sorcerer’s Stone. Harry was also given protection from his mother. If you want to know more about the book, why not read it?
I thought the book was very good, but if you watch the movie then you could see what would happen. Remember, the book and the movie are different from each other. The movie shows what's happening, but the book tells more detail. Since the book has more detail you could picture the scenes instead of just watching the movie. So if I were you, I would read the book first before you watch the movie.

FBI Heroes by Allan Zullo
During the school year I read a
book that was titled, FBI Heroes, by Allan Zullo. This is a realistic, science, nonfiction, informational, crime book. In this book there
are many selections and many investigators who solve crimes from murders to kidnappings, Friday night bank robbers to terrorist attacks. The FBI Heroes don’t let the
criminals get away with anything and that’s why they live by the motto
Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity. The book took place in the present at all different crime scenes. This book is
very informational to students who want to study or be an F.B.I Agent for a job. I would make a text to world connection because this book teaches
you how to be sneaky heroes without letting the criminals know! These criminals
receive severe punishments, such as the death penalty or life in jail. This
book and all its themes interest me a lot. I would highly recommend this book
to students who enjoy reading Allan Zullo books, or the amazing Ten True Tales series! Don't forget to check out Allan Zullo’s amazing website by clicking on the title link above.

Tales From a Not So Happy Heartbreaker by Rachel Renee Russel
So, Dork Diaries: Tales from a not-so-happy heartbreaker, by Rachel Rene Russel is about a girl her name is Nikki and a sassy girl named Mackenzie. They fight over a boy named Brandon. Who will go to the dance with Brandon? It also tells you about her life and everything. There is one part I don't like. It’s the part when the Gram comes in and talks to the girl. It was annoying.
My opinion about the book is that it is a really good book and it is just like my life. Also I like it because I would love to go to prom. My world and her life are similar because I have a brother, but she has a sister and they kill me. Not really, but annoy me a lot. I mean a lot, but otherwise it's okay. When she is annoyed, that's like me.

In book 6, Nikki’s school is having a sweet heart dance and Nikki wants to go with Brandon, but he keeps blowing her off. The dance is coming up. Will Nikki be going with Brandon? Will their friendship be ruined? This was an excellent book. I couldn’t put it down or stop reading it!
