Schoolgirl by Osamu Dazai

Schoolgirl by Osamu Dazai starts with a translator's note. It then begins by saying how the girl hates mornings and how she disagrees with how people say morning’s are great. After you realize she is annoyed about mornings because she explains how morning feels weird after her father’s death and how she can’t get over it.

This is Dazai’s first book. This book is realistic about the female protagonist’s life, but the translator's note explains it is really written about the author, Dazai's life. It’s not funny nor has any humor. It's a very serious book about how Dazai didn’t like his life.  This reminds me of the world, because no one really agrees with life and some people don’t like life.
